The untouched heart that loves whatever it meets, without asking why.
This is the spirit before it has reasons: love without object, the wildflower blooming for no one. Its shadow is constriction, the heart closed by comparison and old pain. Its gift is acceptance of everything that enters the meadow of one's life.
The practice is to meet each event, kind or cruel, as initiation rather than interruption. Innocence here is not naivety; it is the refusal to let experience close the heart. Tested and kept open, such a heart loves whatever stands before it, which is universal love.
Constriction → Acceptance → Universal Love
