Risking everything to discover what makes this life worth living.
This gate gambles life against meaning. It would rather risk everything than survive pointlessly. Its shadow is purposelessness, thrill without depth or fear disguised as prudence. Its gift is totality: whole-hearted engagement with whatever is truly worth dying a little for.
The practice is to ask the mortal question honestly: what would make this life enough? Then to give yourself totally to what answers, without keeping an escape. Meaning is never found by watching. A life spent totally leaves nothing to death, and touches immortality.
