The voice that leads because others recognize themselves in it.
This is the voice the collective turns toward, influence through words that describe what the many feel. Its shadow is arrogance, speaking for others to serve oneself. Its gift is leadership: saying we and meaning it.
The practice is to speak only from within lived experience and to wait for genuine invitation. Influence taken by force curdles; influence granted flows. The paradox deepens with maturity: the greatest leaders vanish into what they serve, and their absence of self-importance is humility.
