This is the cauldron in which values are cooked: the guardian of what a community holds sacred. Its shadow is corruption, rules serving the few, care curdled into control. Its gift is equilibrium: responsibility carried without martyrdom, law warmed by love.
The practice is to examine the values you enforce, especially the inherited ones. Keep what nourishes, recook what does not. Those who tend this pot feed more people than they know. Values fully digested no longer need enforcement; they sound together as harmony.
