Grace

Beauty in how we listen and speak; emotion carried with grace.

This gate is emotion moving through expression, the voice, the manner, the social skin. Under pressure its shadow dishonors, using charm to conceal or wound. Its gift is graciousness: feelings carried with such style that even difficulty becomes beautiful.

The practice is to stay open while the emotional weather passes, neither suppressing the wave nor becoming it. Moods are music; you are the instrument, never the song. A being who can suffer beautifully and listen generously transmits grace, which forgives the room it enters.
